WHY MOST SPIRITUAL BUSINESSES FAIL…
The number one question I get asked is why most spiritual businesses fail…
Over the past ten years, I’ve discovered so much about what makes us tick:
- How our drives and actions can be influenced by our beliefs and emotions
- Why fear can keep us stuck exactly where we are
- What makes it so hard to create lasting change
And while there are a lot of reasons why this can happen, in my experience it comes down to three major things.
First – you don’t have a clear plan. Of all the infinite ways you could attempt to reach your goals, you’ll find very quickly that it’s very easy to get stuck in a cycle of overwhelm, confusion, frustration, anxiety, fear, scarcity, and failure… over and over again until finally, one day you find a way to make it work. And just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, the rules will change. This is avoidable failure reason #1.
Second – you don’t get that transformation takes work. It’s like building a new and empowering habit, like meditation or exercising. You can’t do it once and think that you’ve made it big. It takes dedication, passion, drive, commitment, nerve and resilience to create change… and even more to create change that’s going to last. The success you seek is going to be found through practice and repetition, until it becomes part of who you are. This is avoidable failure reason #2.
Third – you don’t enlist a trusted guide to show them the way. From my years of personally working with Tony Robbins I can tell you for sure that he is not messing around when he says, “success leaves clues.” There is a mindset, a pathway, a set of tools, and a way of being that can help you get from where you are now, to where you’ve always wanted to be… in your life, in your relationships, in your career… and absolutely in your business. This is avoidable failure reason #3.
I share these avoidable reasons with you because these were the three biggest obstacles I faced on the pathway to launching my spiritual business.
Fortunately, I was able to overcome them with a lot of support and guidance from the coaches, teachers and kindred spirits I met along the way.
But in my darkest moments, I wish so much that someone could have grabbed me and said, “But wait! There’s another way!”
Or that when I was on the verge of giving up, I could have stumbled across a blog somewhere that reminded me of these truths.
That you can learn from others who have successfully gone before you.
That you have within you the power to change the world.
That there’s a community of people out there that are willing to support you.
And that you’re never, ever alone.
